She’s so well behaved at this age, really shows all the love and work you put in!

  2. leia

y’all how many words/commands does your dog understand? I’m curious if there’s a limit. Like a point where they just can’t retain any more.

  3. Caden Davis

PSA!!!! ROBERT CABRALS ASK ME ANYTHING SECTION WILL HELP YOU FIX ALOT OF THE BAD BEHAVIORS THAT YOU WILL RUN INTO USING THIS GUYS METHODS! PLEASE LISTEN TO ME!!

  4. Caden Davis

and honestly obedience in only part of the equation, a lot of how your dog behaves outside the house is dictated inside the house, im sure inertia has many bad habits in the house which lead to her being so disengaged under distraction.

  5. Caden Davis

im sorry but you haven’t proven to anyone that this shit head training method works. stop diseasing the internet with BAD dog training information.

  6. Caden Davis

like literally your hand should just be at your side while you ask for the command and once she complies then you mark “YES!” and then your hand goes to the pouch and gets the reward. the “YES!” it telling the dog he can get out of the position you have him in and get the reward that is coming, which leads into using a duration command so for example you would say “sit” they sit and you said good, good, good, good to create curation then “YES!” to release them from the sit and receive their reward. GOD DAMN man your shit stresses me out that people are actually taking this serious, im sure their are some poor human that has solely used your content, and now they have dozens of bad behaviors that they don’t know what to do about due to this shit head training method. Sorry to anyone that has ruined their pet dog because they bought into this fucking garbage.

  7. Caden Davis

you need your dog to know the reward comes from you and not your hand, she is cueing into your hand to much, also don’t lure her after she knows the commands, or its the lure that gets compliance not you, jesus man how are you so famous on here when you don’t know shit lmao

  8. Caden Davis

ONCE YOU TEACH YOUR DOG THE COMMAND BY LURONG AND SHAPING THE BAHAVIOR YOU TAKE THE LURE AWAY!!!! THIS WILL TEACH YOUR DOG TO ONLY COMPLY WHEN YOU SHOW THEM THEIR REWARD BEFORE THEY GET IT. ONCE THEY KNOW THE COMMAND YOU ASK FOR COMPLIANCE AND ONCE YOU GET IT, YOU MARK THE BEHAVIOR AND THE MARKER SHOULD SIGNIFY A REWARD COMING!!!! NOT USING THE TREAT TO WIN OVER DISTRACTIONS, THEY ARE DOGS AND THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE AWARE OF WHATS AROUND THEM!!!!

Thank you so much for sharing this series of videos. Your upbeat style of dog training always leaves the situation positive between dog and trainer. Being positive from the last situation enables one to correct easier the next time when training in a stimulating environment.

  10. Henry && Zena

Oh wow inertia is so far behind in trianing and obedience compared to most dogs I know at her age but I guess she’s rewarded for unwanted behavior alot so it does make sense ☹️

I haven’t been able to get my dog to stop barking. He thinks I’m playing a game with him when he stops barking I reward. So now he knows to bark and then he’ll stop so he can get a treat.

I love your Channel, I just wish you could support rescue animals a lot more. To me your more of a breeding supporter. I’m not against breeding dogs but adopting saves lives, they need a home more than dogs who cost about $2,000

I have watched this entire series so far. It’s been good help for my patience. I have a new seventh month old puppy that I am trying to train out bad habits. It’s only been a week, not having the best of luck. He’s a corgi so he’s super stubborn.

  16. John Doe

It ‘appears’ you let the dog do what he wants, then when he’s done, you train? Doesn’t this lead to the dog controlling every situation ?

  17. jurgen Tamsin

Love your video’s ! I’m getting a puppy soon and helpful information from you , thanks !

  18. The Canine Chef

Such good stuff! Imo any serious dog owner who should watch them all.

Hey I just got a westie puppy. Your videos are so helpful. Keep it up. But what are the first thing to teach her. You know like tricks or something…

What is the best way to get my dog to stop licking stuff outside or to stop pulling (at times he just won’t calm down no matter what I try), he also doesn’t want treats and isn’t interested in toys when we are outside. the toys worked like twice and then he didn’t care anymore.
I tried to get him to stop by letting him know it’s wrong, but that only seems to frustrate him.. (and if anything makes him do it more)
    It’s a husky

Pumpkins in January! Where is this?

  22. G lady

Hello Zak,I was wondering is there such a thing as a dog for 1-st time owner or can I just strat with any dog(because in my opinion dog owning isnt a videogame so you dont level up with having a “beginner” dog and then having a difrentt more “expirieced”dog breed)

  23. Stuart Cameron

Hi Zak, a question from the UK…How do you travel with Inertia in your lovely Model 3 without getting muddy footprints everywhere?

  24. Rose S

    Pumpkins in January?

  25. joel koel

I’m getting a dog in april and I’m so nervous that I’ll have a hard time training my dog and thus will be a bad dog momma but your videos give me the confidence I need!

I have a 1-year-old dog. he is very scared/ has a lot of anxiety
My family & I love to visit new (dog-friendly) places but he is very willy-nilly
    1. he is scared of big dogs
    2. is afraid of being left in the car (we don’t leave him alone in the car, he is just sad of someone leaving the car even if others are in)
    3. is afraid of new places (pulls on the leash)
    4. seems to chase after the fishing line when we throw it in the lake (& any birds that come nearby / we can’t go fishing with him)

basically, I want him to not worry/bark at other animals & not pull on the leash

Hello Zack! I’ve been watching your videos for as long as I can remember and I have conveniently adopted a 10 week old puppy around the time you got Inertia. She has definitely been a challenge, as a shelter puppy she is quite shy, but very opinionated, stubborn and with immense prey drive!

I’ve been training her myself, but I’m not a professional trainer. I started off being very pro-positive reinforcement, but I opted to use my own method for training. One that involves positive reinforcement, but also corrections (in terms of guidance to correct behavior) and NO physical harm or punishment. (PLEASE READ THE REPLY TO THIS COMMENT /)

  30. Roman Garza

Can anyone tell me what kind of treats he uses? Cause he gives so many treats I want to know what is best!

  31. Toby Havaneese

I hope you can answer this question please. Do you ever leave your dog off leash in a public area or park other than a dog park? Thanks.

  32. CHARLIE35348

I’m very glad that u r doing this , I have a 8 month old cocker spaniel and u have been very helpful

  33. jeannie hampton

I’m so glad you are working with the same dog from ground zero, she’s so cute.
    Thank you for sharing❤❤❤❤❤❤

  34. Min Ae Chung

I have been being lazy about teaching my dog to leave things alone in the public. This is a great motivation to me! It reminds me again that it take a lot of time and training to have a well behaved, happy and healthy dog! Thanks for great videos!

  35. Toby Havaneese

I never thought of what you mentioned of just going to a place and sit with your dog. Excellent idea. Love your videos.

  36. Amita Basu

Again I really admire your patience, Zak. And Inertia is a beautiful young lady.

  37. Amita Basu

Inertia’s frisbee catching looks wonderful! She’s learned fast and seems to be taking catches effortlessly.

  38. Cristina Rose

this is great! please make a video on top dog supplies/treats/things we need to train or best of!

  39. Gilly Mac

    Hola beauties🙋🏻‍♀️,
My 6mo went in heat 3days ago. She’s piddling on the couch & bed (where she’s not even allowed because I have a parrot to protect) whenever a man she knows well is in the house. She seems to be attempting to squat & squeeze out the discharge, & in doing so this morning piddled like her waters had broken! Got diapers coming tomorrow but any advice would be greatly appreciated please folks. 🙏🏻🐶😙

This is great will be trying this with my Chihuahuas. My pitbull has the basics set but my Chihuahuas on the other hand is a different story. One of them barks at even his shadow and the other is scared of any sound outside of the house.

  45. Lucy Leadbeater

Inertia is doing SO well! Especially great that she didn’t jump up on people. Also, isn’t she blooming into a beauty?! Happy New Year to you and Brianna.

  46. Tori J

We recently got a new puppy and these videos are really helping us with her along with one of our other dogs who has trouble adjusting to new environments, as she is a rescue with a bad past, but she has come such a long way! Thank you Zak for all of your wonderful videos! You’re an inspiration!

  47. Heather Burroughs

Thank you so much for all you do and for this particular video. I have. German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix who is almost 3, but she’s very delayed in her training because she struggled with health problems her first 2 years. Finally got her EPI under control and have gotten back to basics for training, but I need to constantly remind myself to be patient. Thanks for the encouragement and tips.
