Raw dog food is based on the natural diet of wild dogs (your dog’s ancestors), which consists of the prey they catch and the contents of these animals’ stomachs.
Most people think of raw protein sources when they think of this diet, but there’s a lot more to it.
Wild dogs eat grass and other plants.
The stomach contents of their prey contain a variety of plants.
For this reason, a raw dog diet must contain a balanced amount of meat, fruit and vegetables.
