German Shepherd Acting Aggressive on Leash
Cora is acting aggressive and reactive to almost every dog that walks by her and it’s upsetting other parents as well as other people. In this lesson, we evaluate what is causing the behavior and what we can do. The owners tried using a “no-pull” harness – wonder if that will work?!
This short video will give you the basics to understanding how my method shows a clear picture to both the dog and her owners. The full version of this lesson is available in my member section at:
Training aggressive and reactive dogs take a clear understanding and communication. It’s not about forcing the dog, it is about making the dog feel confident and safe. That is my goal in dog training. Creating safer, more stable dogs!

I thought this an important lesson for all dog owners. The full video on your site was very good. Thank you .
That is exactly the problem I have with my dog! My trainer uses only positive reinforcment and she has never told me to do a correction when there is undesireable behaviour, but I’ll try your method… I’m desperate and tired of my dog lunging and barking towards other pups. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
You’re looking strong Rob 💪💪. All that training paying off. Thanks for being an inspiration. Greeting from Australia!
Saludos from Romania Robert
Dropping gems here… thank u.
Great video
Super interesting point about not correcting the dog when close to me
So for example I take Doberman for a walk around the village …so are you saying for training walks it’s better to use a longer training lead and let the dog lunge further and then correct as you did from a distance?
At the moment I’m correcting her close to me
Thanks for all your content Robert 🐶💪🙏
I watched the whole lesson on your website too! This is one of your VERY BEST lessons so far. 😃
Man that was a great video.
Thanks soooooo much!!! So much great info and modeling. I have a little (11 lbs) foster dog that I am working with. I have never used a slip lead on a dog this small. I will research more for using one on a dog this little. But I think I can do a better job than I have been even with the harness. Much appreciation.
Very very useful video!!!!! 👌 👍
Can you please show where can a leash lightweight and thin be ordered online? Thank you
We are so on the same page. Good dog trainers need to stick together. JCM’s Dog Training.
Great information that many people need
Beautiful dog. Thanks Mr. Robert!
I love the information he gives. I used some it to train my rescues before handing them out for adoption and it worked wonders.
Hallelujah! This is it. The video I have been looking out for. I have been using this technique but not executing it currently. I am going to order a long line slip line and give this another go.
I always get funny looks when I give my dog the correction out in public, but I don’t care anymore. It’s my dog and it needs to be trained. He can’t be lunging at other dogs anymore (even though it is playful).
This is so helpful. Will definitely be practicing this with my bordercollie. Thanks heaps 👍🏽
It’s the “pop” that’s the hardest thing for the people to do. Thank you for sharing this valuable information.
What most of us deal with everyday
Awesome video!!
