- 1 lb. ground chicken
- 1 can mackerel
- 4 cups dry brown rice
- 8 ounces. cottage cheese
- 7.5 oz. Canned pumpkin
- 6 ounces. chopped spinach
- 6 ounces. chopped cauliflower
- 6 ounces. chopped broccoli
- 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
- 8 cups water
Boil 8 cups of water in a large saucepan. Add the chicken and rice to the boiling water and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook until the rice has absorbed most of the water.
Add the chopped vegetables and mackerel to the saucepan and stir until well mixed. For the picky eater, let this dog food recipe chill completely.
After cooling, add the cottage cheese, pumpkin and flaxseed to the recipe. Stir until completely blended, then serve to your pet.
