A play style toy suitable for every dog

You may have noticed that your dog also has a unique personality and unique play style. Different play styles usually require different toys. One puppy may like chasing and tug-of-war, while another may be addicted to the ball and pounce on anything that squeaks. If you can decode your dog’s play style, you can determine which toys they like and make the most of your play time.

To discover the play style of your dog, you can do one (or both) of the following two actions:

1. Let your puppy listen to his/her own device and observe. Soon you will know whether your dog is a digger, chewer, problem solver, chaser or wrestler. He/she will also let you know if they like to play alone or with their partners.

2. Throw away all the toys and get crazy! Toss, slide, squeak, squeeze, hide and play. The longer you spend playing with your dog, the faster you can figure out what makes their tail wagging.

If your dog’s play style falls into these categories, here are some toys that your dog might like. Most dogs like more than one type of game, so there are many toys to choose from to keep your puppy from getting bored.

Diggers, Hiders & Seekers: (Exciting hidden treasures):

Snuff pad

Outgoing hound squirrel

Loofa Squeaker Mat toy

Chewers (anything they can grit their teeth):

Gmawtlers Shed Antlers (Whole, not split)

Earth animals: no hiding

Problem solver (puzzle toy or finding toy):

Super Fruit Pear

Interactive Seeking Healing Jigsaw

Interactive snack distribution toys

Chaser (will chase fun!):

Wobble Wag

Chuckit Ball Launcher

Wrestler (Northing hit a good ball on the floor with a soft toy):

Invincibles mini non-stuffed plush toys

PetSafe Sheepskin Bone

Team members (want to play?):

Frisbee

Tugboat toy

No matter what toy your dog ultimately likes, be sure to supervise the play time. It’s best to replace toys that start to wear out due to use, rather than letting the suffocating size fall off. And always check any toys for fragments and other damage that might put your dog in trouble. There are so many toys on the market today, once you know what types of toys make your child happy, you and your dog can easily refresh the toy box.

Have fun and enjoy your game time!
